On February 24, 2026, our senior club went on a fun field trip to Mission Trails. Eight seniors and two staff members joined the field trip. We started by exploring the Mission Trails Visitor Center, where we learned more about the history of the trail, the Native people who once lived there, and the animals that call the area home. We were fascinated learning all about the history and nature that surround us! After our visit, we gathered at the picnic area and enjoyed lunch together. The weather was beautiful, making it the perfect setting to relax, chat, and share some laughs. Once we finished eating, we went on a light hike to explore the trails. Some seniors mentioned that although they’ve lived in San Diego for many years, it was their first time visiting Mission Trails. Others had been there before but had never explored the Visitor Center. It was a wonderful experience for everyone, whether it was their first visit or not. Overall, it was a relaxing, enjoyable, and refreshing field trip. ... See MoreSee Less

Pictures are finally in from our wonderful Karen New Year celebration! Once again, thank you so much to everyone who came out to celebrate with us, especially those who had to travel from far away to get here, we had such a great time. We also wanted to recognize the recent celebrations of the start Lunar New Year (Chinese Spring Festival, Vietnamese Tết, Korean Seollal) as well as Ramadan, both incredibly important days for their respective cultures. We hope that San Diego will always be a place where everyone, no matter their background, feels welcome and is able to proudly celebrate who they are and where they came from. May everyone have a blessed happy new year🎉
